Backyard basketball courts are becoming increasingly popular for families desiring to better use the space at home for excercise and bringing family and friends together. Choice of product and base normally is determined on your budget and access to the area.
If access into the area is difficult then a crushed rock base would be desireable as opposed to a concrete pad and/or longer term they are looking to remove the court once the children move out of home.
If access is good and you have a little more money spend budget wise then a concrete pad is often preferred.
